Deshaies, Jacques ""Jack

In loving memory of Jacques “Jack” Deshaies who passed away suddenly but peacefully at his residence in Val Caron on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at the age of 68 years. Dear father of Shirley Konte of Sarnia and grandfather Kaitlyn and Aidan. Loving brother of Reynald (wife Gaby) of Quebec, Roger (wife Raymonde) of Quebec, the late Roland (surviving wife Geraldine of Quebec), Jacqueline Elia (husband Bill) of Niagara Falls and Thérèse Séguin (husband Marcel) of Welland. Jack was born in Cadillac, Quebec on March 22nd, 1949 to parents Lucienne and Wenceslas, both predeceased. He grew up in Welland and moved to the Sudbury area in the late 1960’s. For over 30 years, he worked as a train conductor for INCO. Jack was an avid coin collector. Socializing with his buddies brought great joy to his life. He will be remembered as a “happy-go-lucky” kind of guy with a great sense of humor and for being a real jokester. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
