Jalbert, Sem

Peacefully passed away, his family by his side, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Beloved partner of many years to Lise and her grandson Rhéal Dionne. Devoted father of Laurel Lamarre (Mike Gervais), Huguette Sivret (Denis) and Carl Jalbert (Kari). Cherished grandfather of Andréanne (Kyle), Darcy, Justin, Karlee and great-grandfather of Olivier Thériault, of whom he was very proud. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid Jalbert and Yvonne Landry, his brothers Meddly, Marc, Harthy, Lévite and his sister Carmen. Survived by his sister Louisette Michaud and by his brother Ovila Jalbert. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sem cherished the special moments spent with his family and Rhéal. A lumberjack at heart, he had a passion for nature and during his last year, became a skilled gardener. In keeping with Sem’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse.
