In Loving Memory of Carol Ann Hughes 76 years Our beloved Carol passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by family and friends after a long, hard fight with Alzheimer’s. Carol, a native of England, met the love of her life, Colin Hughes. Carol and Colin settled in Canada, and started their family. Carol devoted her life to her two sons, and was a loving force to her grandchildren. Carol shared a special relationship with her caregiver and daughter in law Melodie Hughes for several years, and held her hand until the end of this journey. Carol is survived by her sons Peter Hughes (Melodie Hughes) of Sudbury and Stephen Hughes of Newmarket. Loving daughter of Joan Brooks (predeceased). Loving wife of Colin Hughes (predeceased). Loving nana to Brittany (Taryn), Cody (Cassondra) and Mason Hughes. Carol will be missed by many. Special mention to Alesia and precious Meesha. Our heart felt thanks to CCAC, Share Care, Bayshore and Care Partners. As per Carol’s wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society in Carol’s name would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
