Turgeon, Rose-Marie 'Rose'

In loving memory of Rose-Marie “Rose” Turgeon who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Paul Turgeon of Wahnapitae. Loving mother of Kelly Marvyn (husband Ed) of Brantford, David Turgeon (wife Jeanne) of Wahnapitae and Betty Lauzon (husband Eddy predeceased) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Melissa, Phillip, Kurtis, Gabrielle, Adam and Sarah and great-grandmother of David. She was the second eldest of 9 children. Rose was born in Parry Sound on July 20th, 1941, daughter of Frances and Alfred Dempsey, both predeceased. She married Paul in Sudbury in 1961 and had been a resident of this area for most of her adult life. Rose enjoyed being a member of TOPS for over 30 years and was proud to have been a charter member of the Wahnapitae Lions Club. Aside from spending time with her family, some of her favourite pastimes were knitting, sewing, cooking, baking and making crafts. Rose will be remembered as a warm and caring individual who was always willing to help anyone in need. As per her wishes, there will no public visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A memorial service, to celebrate her life, will be held at a later date. Donations to the Vale Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Society (Sudbury-Manitoulin) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
