Born Aniela Agnieszka Nicalek on August 2nd, 1922 in Ulanow, Poland, she came to Canada in 1928 where the family settled in Toronto’s west end. It was there that she and Vernon met and married on December 31, 1941. Angela was a hard worker, a dedicated wife and mother who was proud of her children and adored her grandchildren. She loved to cook, play the piano, devoured books, but was happiest surrounded by her family and a friendly game of cards. In the last few years of her generous life, she faced her health challenges with grace, dignity and courage. Thank you to everyone who played a part in her excellent care…she truly enjoyed all of you. Respecting Angela’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. If you would like to honour Angela’s memory, a donation to Sick Kids, Pet Save or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home. “Till we meet again.”
