Beloved husband of Christina (McGillis) Ranta. Loving father of Terry Ranta and predeceased by Robert, Steve and Loralai. Cherished grandfather of Zachary, Nicholas, Duncan and Clayton “C.J.” Dear son of Cecilia and Arvo Ranta predeceased. Dear brother of Judith predeceased and Kenneth (wife Linda). Special uncle to Ryan (Sandy) and Jeff (Rebecca), great-nephew Carter. Dear son in law of Dan and Natalie McGillis both predeceased. Dear brother in law of Marion predeceased, Viola, Margaret, Carmen and Leona. Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury Friday, December 2nd, 2016 from 4-8:00 P.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
