Theriault, Germaine

In loving memory of Germaine Theriault who passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2016 at Extendicare York, Sudbury Ontario. She was born a proud Acadian, in Caraquet New Brunswick, On Sunday October 28, 1923. Predeceased by her mother Agnes Roy-Cormier, father Adolphe Cormier, stepmother, Cecile Landry-Cormier She is now reunited with her husband Theophile and her daughter Agnes. She rejoins her departed siblings, Bebe Jeanne, Julien, Livin, Herman, Julienne, Raymond, Albini, Lucien, Jeanne, Conrad and Cecilia. She is survived by her son, Victor (Irmelin), granddaughter Christine (Terry), great granddaughter Lyla and granddaughter Jazmin (Michael). Grandson Thomas, great grandson Dominic, granddaughter Melanie McGuire (mother Agnes). Special nephew Ray Cormier (Beth),nieces, Caitlin and Stephanie. As well as many close relatives and friends. She moved, from New Brunswick to Sudbury with her family in 1957. She was a homemaker and accomplished and talented self employed seamstress. She taught sewing classes at the community level in the late 70s and early 80s and took great pride in sharing her knowledge and in seeing the accomplishments of her students. In her younger days, she enjoyed travelling, east to visit family and friends. She enjoyed bingo, a good game of cribbage and her precious Montreal Canadiens. At Germaine’s request, no visitations were planned.
