Desrocher, Lowa (Laflair)

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Lowa Desrocher (nee Laflair) on September 21st, 2016 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Dear daughter of Violet and Gordon Laflair (both predeceased). Cherished wife of Yvon Desrocher (predeceased). Loving mother of Cindy (predeceased), Rick (predeceased), and Lee Ann (Kim Coulas). Dear sister of Phyllis (predeceased), Doreen (predeceased), Judy (predeceased), Faye (Lawrence Lessing), and John (predeceased). Special sister-in-law to Terri (Bruce Haine). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Born and raised in Kirkland Lake, Lowa married Yvon in 1955, moving to Elliot Lake, Hanmer, and eventually North Bay. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, who took pride in everything she did. She will be fondly remembered for her love of dancing, her amazing and beautiful singing, and her devotion to family and friends. A special Thank You to the staff at Barclay House and her many dear, close friends who helped and cared for her. A special Thank You also to the staff at North Bay Hospital C3 unit, for exemplary care in every aspect. As per Lowa’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. If you wish to make a donation in honour of Lowa, please consider the Arthritis Society of Canada, the Alzheimer Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
