Bishop, Mary 'Tootsie' (Provincial)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Bishop (nee Provincial) on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 at Health Sciences North at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Clayton Bishop predeceased 1989. Loving mother of Devra McKelvie (Merv Shepherd) of Hanmer and Mitchell Bishop predeceased 1987. Cherished grandmother of Melissa Birmingham (Benjamin Birmingham), Kayla McKelvie (Jason Shearer) and Alexis Shepherd and special great grandmother to Kaeleb, Clayton and Alivia. Dear sister of Helen Lalonde of Sudbury and the late Lloyd, William, Doris, Eldon, Wayne and Gordon. Predeceased by her parents Eldon and Cecile Provincial. Special friend to many, especially Judy and Ray Allard. Mary was a vivacious woman who loved a glass of red wine and making jokes. Her infectious laugh and smile will forever be embedded into our hearts. At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation and burial will take place for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pet Save (Sudbury) in honour of her two loves Pookie, who she can now be with, and Buffy, who we promise to take care of.
