In Loving Memory of Loretta Florence Flamand of Pointe Grondine. December 15th, 1953 - September 21st, 2016 Passed away in her 62nd year at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Special Friend and Companion Hubert Recollet. Beloved daughter of Emerick and Julia Flamand (nee Jacko) both Predeceased. Cherished sister of Stanley Flamand (predeceased) Lorraine, of Sudbury, Helena Flamand of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Elizabeth (husband Leonard Kimewon) of Kinross, MI, Gilbert Flamand (predeceased), Beatrice (husband Ronnie Peltier) of Pointe Grondine, Eugene Flamand (Cory) of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Marjorie Flamand (Dennis) of Sudbury, John Flamand (Regina) of Wikwemikong, Margaret Rose Flamand of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Harold Flamand (Gail) of Wikwemikong, Danita Mandamin of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Predeceased by Brother In Laws William Manitowabi and Eugene Trudeau. She will be missed by her In Laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and the original Wiky Hillbillies. She had a passion for beadwork, leather, quill and birch bark work, enjoyed camping, blueberry picking and watching hockey on t.v. She especially enjoyed sharing her interests and traditional ways with her Family. She always took part in the families hockey games, powwows, and attending family gatherings near and far. Thank you to Nurses and Doctors that cared for Loretta in her final years. It was comforting to know and see that the Staff at Health Sciences North treated her like family and took very good care of her. Chi Miigwech! Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Thursday with prayers at 3:00 P.M. Thursday) Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 30 Beech Street, Sudbury Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
