Shyminsky, Jerry

In loving memory of Jerry Shyminsky, at the age of 56 years. Loving father of Joe and Jeff of Sudbury. Cherished son of Joe (pre-deceased) and Carol, and loving brother of Garry (Cindy) of Sudbury and Ken (Julie) of Oakville. Mischievous uncle of Nathan, Neil, Devin, Will, Aidan and Nate. Jerry was known for weaving and sharing his tall tales of adventure and hilarity. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, sharing his love and knowledge of fishing and hunting with those close to him. There was nothing Jerry loved more that spending the day among the elements, respecting and appreciating all that nature had to offer. In his younger years, Jerry was a loyal member of the Korroba volleyball club (and brotherhood), travelling throughout Ontario with his team mates. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church or a charity of your choosing would be greatly appreciated. Friends are invited to join Jerry’s family for a celebration of Jerry’s life, on Sunday September 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 In the afternoon at the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church hall located at 40 Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury. Jerry’s entire family would like to give their sincere thanks to the members of the Sudbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police as well as the O.P.P Search and Rescue team, and members of the Ministry of Natural Resources, for their efforts, care, and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home. Home.
