It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Troy Tiffin at the age of 50 of Garson after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband and best friend of 25 years to Tracey Tiffin (nee Storey). Loving father of Shayne Tiffin. Son of Al Tiffin (predeceased) and Beverly Kicks. Stepson of Rita Tiffin and Lloyd Kicks (predeceased) and grandson of Daisy Phillips. Brother of Mark, Susan and Shelly Tiffin. Stepbrother to Terry (Kim), Bruce (Cathy), Rod Frauts (Paula) and brother in law to Laurie Eisenhour (Lyle) and Kelly Storey (predeceased). He will also be missed by nieces Ashley, Katreena, Teri-Kristen, Jaydaleigh, Alison and nephews Jake, Dirk, Scott and Drew, as well as by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, especially Yvon, Dewy, Lori, Molson, Katie, Nikki and Kevin. Troy was a member of the MS Society, fundraising every year in hope that a cure would be found. He never dwelled on having MS, fighting the disease for 18 years. Through all the ups and downs, Troy still lived his life to the fullest determined not to let it stop him from doing the things he liked and wanted to do. For the past 7 years, Troy resided at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron. Being one of the youngest residents there, he was a spokesman for all residents. He brought joy to all people that were around whether it be his witty comments or his funny faces. A special friendship was created when he was partnered up in his room with another resident close to his age. Although Yvon was a Toronto fan (lol), and Troy a loyal Montreal Canadiens fan, they bonded immediately. One side of their room was decorated in the Toronto Maple Leafs and the other side was decorated with Montreal Canadiens. He became friends with his PSW’s, nurses, and management having nicknames for most. Special thanks go out to George, Nitro, Turbo, Bubbles, Columbo, Red Neck, Roo, Rocky, Lefty, Shitzu, Wonderful Wendy, “Kelly” and Judge Judy. At Troy’s request, there will be no service. He will be laid to rest at the St. John’s Cemetery in Garson and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. Reflections of Courage / Coping with Multiple Sclerosis MS, I didn’t see you coming, or I’d have run so far and wide, But when I felt that first funny tingle, it was already too late to hide, You were subtle – I ignored you, and that must have slighted you, For you put the pressure on until the symptoms just grew and grew, You rocked my world, spun me around, and made me lose control, Your cowardly attacks, have stung me to the bottom of my soul, But you won’t get the best of me and if I should falter or lose my stride, Courage will help me to my feet, and walk beside me with pride.
