In loving memory of John “Jack” Bartlett, peacefully, at home. Husband of 67 years to Vivien (nee Jackson) (predeceased 2013). Loving father to Chris (Linda) recently of Ottawa, Judy (Mike), Dave (Bonnie) and Sue, all of Sudbury. Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Rob of Toronto, Dave (Lesley) of Ottawa and Danielle (Darryl) of Sudbury along with great-grandchildren Kennedy, Avery, Reese and Evelyn. Jack was a proud WW II veteran, joining the army in 1940, alongside his pal Eddie Knuff. He returned in 1945 to court and marry his war-time pen pal, Vivien Jackson in September of 1946 in St. Catharines, returning to Sudbury in 1947 to take a job with Inco in the copper refinery. Jack was known for his quiet manner, sense of humour, and love of family. Until recently, he regularly read two newspapers a day. He was both a Wolves and Jays fan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at 11:30am As an expression of sympathy, donations to Parkinson's Society or the Sudbury food bank would be appreciated. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr.Zucconi and the Shared Care Team, CCAC, Paramed and the Bayshore nursing staff. (Friends may call after 11am Wednesday)
