After a courageous fight, Michel finished his race at home, surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 4:15 a.m. He was 61 years old, born in Iroquois Falls and resided in Chelmsford. Beloved husband of Diane Girard (Joseph). Loving father of daughter Kim (Michael McKay) of Hanmer. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Kyle and Chanelle McKay. Dear brother of Anne (friend Jean-Marc Tassé) of Cantley, QC, Claude (Joanne Pelissier) of Elliot Lake, Denis (Lucille Gravel) of Kemptville. Dear half-brother of Jacques Joseph (Anne-Marie Landriault) of Orléans, Carole Joseph (Gordon Holmes) of Ajax and Yvan Joseph (Annie Guilbeault) of Gatineau. Survived by his parents Lucien Girard of Iroquois Falls and Vina Judd of Elliot Lake. He will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Michel will be remembered for his fabrication and inventive skills which were his number one hobbies. There will be a private service at a later date.
