POITRAS, Jeannette (Diotte)

The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Wife of the late Lucien Poitras. Daughter of the late Orville and the late Olivine (née Guay) Diotte. Beloved mother of Robert Poitras (Pamela), Michel Desrosiers, Monique Cook and Diane “Dee” Desrosiers (late Mike). Dear sister of Lilianne Paquette (late Fernand), Eveline Pigeau and Claire Loyer (Normand). Predeceased by her sisters Simone Poitras-Chiasson (late Wilfrid), Rollande Desrosiers (late Isaïe) and by her brother Léo Diotte (Hélène). Cherished grandmother of Charles (Brad), Pamela, André, Philip (Christin), Mathieu, Patrick (Lucy), Jen (Corey) and great-grandmother of Elliott, Hannah, Rayne and Félixe. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was a proud member of Club D’Age D’Or of Hanmer as well as of Paroisse St-Jacques, Hanmer. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St, Hanmer, Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at Paroisse St-Jacques, Hanmer.
