PETERS, A. Wendy

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Ann Peters at the age of 48, after her third and final courageous battle with cancer. God heard her cry for the pain to end and He called His angel home. Far too young for us to comprehend, but God knew how many lives that she would impact in her short time. A legacy etched in our hearts forever. Loving daughter of Ken Peters (Ruth) and Marion Peters (nee Muldoon), loving sister of Sean, loving aunt of Astra. She will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Wendy was blessed with a chosen family as well. A circle of friends which were heaven sent, that stood by her unconditionally throughout every aspect of her life. After graduating from Lasalle Secondary School, Wendy went on to earn her diploma in Police Foundations and Pharmaceutical Technology. She also worked in a variety of fields during her short life. From Cecil Facer Youth Centre to Canadian Blood Services and on to join Financial Decisions where she became family. Wendy was also involved in a wide variety of groups and organizations such as Sisterhood of Hope, Fearless Dragon Boat Team, as well as a Lay Health Educator with the Canadian Cancer Society, to name a few. At each of these arenas, Wendy stood out with her humor, compassion, wisdom and ability to leave each person she had contact with in a better place. Her love for her family, friends and felines was always apparent, present and sincere. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to meet her and an honor to have her in their lives. Special thanks to Dr. Mirka, Dr. Singh, the Palliative floor staff, Sisterhood of Hope, Fearless Family, Sherry, Sharri, Fran, Sue, Linda and Mel. Memorial Service in the R. J.
