Survived by his twin brother Michel “Mike”, his sister Monique, his loving sister-in-law Jackie (Rousselle) and his treasured niece and nephew Josée and Alex. He was one of the first tenants at ICAN (Participation House), where he lived in assisted living for over 28 years. He will be remembered for his courage, determination and sense of humor. He greatly appreciated the care and compassion he received over the years from the wonderful staff at Handy Transit, ICAN, Extendicare York (4th floor). Thank you to the staff at Health Sciences North (6th floor), especially to nurses Christine, Robert, and Dr. Charette, who cared for him in his final hours. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Extendicare York, who made his stay over the past year an enjoyable experience. In keeping with Marcel’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Hope Church Sudbury. If desired, donations (by cheque only) may be made to ICAN Independent Living. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home.
