DIONNE, R. Raymond 'Ray'

In Loving Memory of Raymond (Ray) Romeo Dionne Passed away peacefully at his sister’ Cora’s home. Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife Marie Dionne (Menard) whom he excitedly anticipated reuniting with. Ray is sadly missed by his children Ronald (Carol), Letitia, Raymond Jr., Richard (Linda), Mary-Ellen (Helmut) and his 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amber Rose, Jonathan, Ricky, Travis, Samantha, Benny and Sophie and 8 great grandchildren. Raymond is predeceased also by his siblings Mignonne and Alcide and parents Paul and Marie Anne and sadly missed by his loving sister Cora Spracklin (Lewis) who is now left to feed the ducks alone. His niece Elizabeth-Anne (Trevor). Ray was the perfect example that one was never too old to change. Around 70 years of age he went to University to learn Spanish and then became a self professed backpacker who regaled everyone with his adventures. At the age of 79 Ray was the oldest person known to have climbed Angel Falls in Venezuela, which is the highest falls in the world. Through his example Ray taught everyone who had the privilege of knowing him how to live and love unconditionally. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St. Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at 11 a.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the Sudbury Food Bank or Charity of your Choice would be appreciated. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday.
