In Loving Memory of Arthur Alphage Derosier 86 years It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a dear and loved Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa Arthur (Art) Derosier. Loving husband of almost 61 years to Elsie (Alves). Loving Father to Allan, Lois and her husband Ken Unwin and Howard. Devoted Grandpa to Amanda, Alyssa and her partner Mitch Richard, Ryan and his wife Catherine, Courtney and her husband Matt Moreau, and Natasha. Special Great Grandpa to Grayson and Dominic. Fond Grandpa Art to Zoe, Jacob and Logan. Loving son of Alphage and Edith Derosier and loving brother of Ivan and his wife Helen all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Art was a long standing elder of St. John’s United Church in Levack and a lifetime member of the Onaping Falls Golden Age Club. Art was a devoted driver for the Red Cross for many years. Art had a love for country music and enjoyed jamming on his guitar with friends and brother Ivan. Art loved his garden, birds and the outdoors. Art loved a good game of cards and was always ready to play a game. Art worked at Falconbridge Strathcona mine for 32 years, retiring in 1990. After his retirement Art and Elsie enjoyed many trips to both the East and West coast, Florida and a cruise to Alaska. All of which Art enjoyed to the fullest. To all of the Nurses on the 4th floor of Health Sciences North, Staff of Pioneer Manor, Dr. Saidi, Dr. Costa Vitali and his staff; thank you for your support. An extra special Thank You to Claudette Lapoint for her excellent care for Dad while he was at home. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; donations to St. John’s United Church Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer’s Day Program of Sudbury would be greatly appreciated. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday
