BELLINI, Valerio

In Loving Memory of Valerio Bellini Beloved husband of Leonora Bellini (nee Volpini) for 62 years. He will be tremendously missed by his wife Leonora, his children Daniel and daughter-in-law Christine, daughter Brenda and his granddaughters Jessica, Lindsay, Alexandra and Lila. Dear son of Romeo and Maria Bellini predeceased. Val is survived by his brothers Valdo (Rena), Victor and his sister Andea MacElwee. Val had a love of life, a wonderful sense of humour, an infectious laugh and a love of learning. He came to Canada at the age of 2. He spent his first 18 years living and working on his family dairy farm in Timmins. He loved going to school and was an excellent student loving math and history. He enjoyed regaling his grandchildren with stories of walking to school in -40 degree weather with newspapers wrapped around his feet with wolves following him. He was always proud to mention that he helped build the Empire Theatre in Sudbury. He started at INCO as a bricklayer, worked his way up to foreman and then was chosen to write a manual on building furnaces which he was very proud of. Upon retirement he was able with his wife to travel the world. He became an excellent wood worker and produced tables and chairs which continue to be enjoyed by all his children and grandchildren. His other major interest and joy was going to the Casino and expertly working the slots. Last week he hit his biggest win and came home with $9,000.00! His joyful picture adorns the slots in Sudbury.
