MASKELL, Alfred 1926-2013- Loving husband of Shirley (née Hamilton) predeceased in 2005. Wonderful father to Wendy Ollivier (Geoff) of Lively, Suzanne Young (late Kerry) of Holland Landing, Warren (Dodie) of Dowling, Jack (Barbara) of Naughton and Douglas (Debbie) of Sault Ste Marie. Grandad to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Best friend and companion of Annamarie Lemster of Lively. Very sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Marion Maskell in Hamilton and Joan Kern in Cambellford. A special thanks to his Pastor Rob Weatherby for his faithful visits and comfort. He worked for INCO until 1982 and worked even harder after he retired. Al loved fishing, hunting and building anything. He was a tireless worker in the Lively Baptist Church, helped build the manse on 6th Avenue and relocated many pastors, one as far as B.C. A friend to all, he passed judgement on none. Al planned to wear out, not rust out. He did that. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, August 8th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Mobilizing 4 Mission, ([email protected]) would be appreciated.
