In Loving Memory of Jean-Paul Gervais 88 years Passed away peacefully and suddenly at his home with his loving wife Lida of 63 years at his side. Beloved husband of Lida (Lamirande) Gervais. Loving father of Yolande Langlois (husband Adrian), Roger (wife Rosie), Mirelle Tuttle (husband Robert) and Madeleine Nichols (husband Tim). Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear son of Leon and Anna (Martin) Gervais predeceased. Dear brother of Hector (wife Audrey), Desneiges Morin (husband Alcide) both predeceased, Marie-Rose Cousineau (husband Leo) both predeceased, Isabelle Ladurante (husband Roy predeceased), Armand (wife Therese predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A long time resident of Coniston, he was a first class carpenter at INCO for 41 years. His family always came first. Mom and dad spent summers at their cottage on Trout Lake, raising their 4 children, gardening, having many enjoyable times with family and friends. After retiring, spent 24 years wintering in Florida playing and winning many shuffle board tournaments. Dad was an honourable and loving husband and father who always made you laugh; a man who was happiest working in his wood shop. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 at 1pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. (Friends may gather in the chapel after 12:30pm Tuesday).
