GAUDETTE, Rachelle (née Jones) - Rachelle Gaudette (née Jones) aged 67. The family announces with sorrow her passing on Monday, January 25, 2010, peacefully in Burlington surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with cancer. Wife of David Gaudette (predeceased in 2008). She leaves behind three children; Valerie Gaudette-Evison of Sudbury, Joseph Gaudette (wife Denise) of Burlington, Nicole Gaudette (husband J.P. Lavoie) of Val Caron. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Ryan and Steven Spencer, Ryan Gaudette, Alexander Evison, Alyssa Stevens, William Lavoie and Camille Marinier. Sister of Carmelle Jones (husband Gerald) of Garson and predeceased by her parents Eugene Jones and Marie-Rose (née Paquette) Jones. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and other members of the extended family. Rachelle was an avid lover of country and western music and spent her earlier years singing live, and on the local radio. She enjoyed writing, crafts and camping. She blessed us all with many years of special Christmases and her delicious baking. Although faced with several health challenges, she always held her loved ones close to her heart, though misunderstood by many. A special thanks to our brother Joseph and his wife Denise for the excellent care they provided our mother in the last months of her life. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St-Jacques Church, Hanmer. Donations (by cheque only) to the Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciated
