McBain, Jean

January 21, 2010 86

McBAIN, Jean Muriel (nee Klemp) - July 10 1923 - January 19 2010 - With broken hearts and great sadness we say goodbye to Jean at the age of 86, devoted wife of William (Bill) for 66 years. Jean passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 19, 2010. She is survived by her husband and sons Walter (wife Sandra) and Stewart (wife Marilynn) all of Lively. Also, loved by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jean was employed in her early years working for income tax moving onto the City of Sudbury and later became secretary to the treasurer of the Sudbury Region before retiring in 1978. She was always great with figures and we all looked towards her for advice in the business world. She enjoyed and could play a clever hand of Bridge. The family treasures her many knitted and crafted gifts she lovingly made us all. Bill and Jean enjoyed retirement to the fullest with travel to Florida, Hawaii and Cuba, making friends wherever the stopped. Five years ago they moved to Meadowbrook Apartments where they made great friends and enjoyed everyone's company. Jean is survived by her sister Helen Ray (Len predeceased) of London and predeceased by Bill Klemp (Maritta) of Sudbury and Margaret Flewelling (Bob) of Barrie. Memorial Service In the R.J.
