BEDARD, Hector - (Sir Knight, Bishop Scollard Assembly) - The family announces with deep sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the age of 68 years after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Son of the late Sévère and the late Alma Bédard (née Lagrandeur). Beloved husband of Claudette Bédard (née Trottier) of Sudbury. Loving father of Richard Bédard (Teresa) of Wahnapitae, Lise Thompson (Tim) of Sudbury and Gilles Bédard (Marlene) of Hanmer. Dear brother of Jeannine Lalonde (Normand), Fernand Bédard (late Gilberte) (friend Jackie) both of St-Charles, Aurèle Bédard, Rolande Bédard and Denis Bédard (Sue) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his sister Lilianne Beauparlant (Léonard of St-Charles). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Trevor, Philippe, Lindsay, Martine, Dérrik, Camille, Emilie, Nicolas, Calèbe and by his great-grandson Lyam. Hector was a member of the “Club Amical“ and a member of the Knight of Columbus, 3rd degree, Council 8360, Sudbury and 4th degree Bishop Scollard Assembly. He was also the owner and operator of Central Printers for the last 20 years. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Tenhunen, the staff at the Vale Inco Hospice as well as CCAC, Bayshore Nurses and Aldé Bédard for their loving care and compassion toward Mr. Bédard. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO- OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Monday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in St- Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to Maison Vale Inco Hospice would greatly be appreciated.
