MENARD, Frank - Passed away at his cottage in Thornbury with his wife Jane at his side, after a private and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 58. Frank thrived in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. Frank loved to generously entertain his numerous loyal friends with whom he shared his adventurous spirit and his love of life. Many will remember first tracks with Frank at the ski hill as well as his 15th hole exits on a variety of golf courses. In the summer of 2009, Frank and Jane fulfilled a dream with a 5 week boating trip from Collingwood to the Benjamin Islands. Frank and Jane loved to travel. Their destinations included Canada, Alaska, Europe, the Caribbean, California, Florida and of course every opportunity to challenge a new double diamond. Frank leaves the love of his life Jane (nee Townend). Father of Greg of Toronto. Son of the late Frank and Stella (nee Perron) Menard of Sudbury. Frank will also be sadly missed by his family, his wonderful circle of friends and colleagues. Frank's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes interred in Whitefish Cemetery. A private memorial will be held. A celebration of Frank's life will be planned at a later date.
