LAPIERRE, Marie-Ange (née Rochon) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Daughter of the late Xyste and of the late Léonie (née Tetreault) Rochon. Wife of the late Lionel Lapierre, predeceased in 1996. Beloved mother of Dolores Reid (Earl) of Victoria, Noëlla Lafleur (Richard) of St-Charles, Gisèle Pflug (Gerhard) of Calgary, Angèle Lagrandeur (Richard) of Hanmer, Lucie Perry (Simon), Daniel Lapierre and David Lapierre (Sylvie) all of Sudbury. Predeceased by 2 infant sons and 2 infant daughters. Dear sister of Yvon Rochon (Yvonne) of Hamilton, Jules Rochon of Sudbury, Eloi Rochon (Madeleine) of Verner, Claudette Brassard (Omer), Bibiane Robitaille (Willard) both of Edmonton, Carmen Rochon of Qc, and Rachel Affleck (George) of B.C. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The focus of Marie- Ange's life was her loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. She will be remembered for having been a good neighbor and friend to everyone and having done extensive volunteer work at the “Centre de santé communautaire“, the Alzheimer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Lung Association. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St- Dominique Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
