URSO, Gaetana (nee Giannotta) - In loving memory of Gaetana (nee Giannotta) Urso, 74 years, who passed away Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Center. Born in Lauriguano, Cosena Italy, Gaetana married Francesco Urso in 1953 in Italy, she moved to Toronto in 1960 settling in Sudbury in 1965. She was a longtime Gatchell resident belonging to St. Anthony's Church. She was an avid gardener, an excellent cook, a keen reader and enjoyed watching her favourite soap operas. Gaetana will be remembered as a quiet and generous person who was devoted to her loving family, always putting their needs and interests ahead of herself. One of her greatest joys in life was being a Nana. Beloved wife of Francesco Urso predeceased 1996. Loving mother of Renato (wife Maureen), Elga Brennan, Fernando (wife Carrie) and Christina Kingsbury (husband Michel). Cherished Nana of Deidre (Nathan), Kathleen, Melanie, Jessie, Frank, Michaela, Noah, Miranda, Brianna, Luca and future great grandchild. Dear daughter of Ernesto and Emma (Madrigale) Giannotta predeceased. Dear sister of Ada Piotto and predeceased Francesco, Dante and Armando Giannotta. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 19 Mary Street, Sudbury Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment in the family plot at Civic Cemetery.
