WAGNER, Ivy Mary Eva (nee Hodgins) - In loving memory of Ivy Mary Eva (nee Hodgins) Wagner, 85 years, of Lively, who passed away peacefully Saturday, November 21st, 2009 at the Maison Vale INCO Hospice with loving family by her side. Ivy was born in Shawville Quebec and married Gerald Wagner in Creighton in 1944. Ivy was a longtime and well liked Lively resident. A woman of faith, she was a member of the United Church. In her younger days she had been a Sunday School teacher and girl guide and Brownie leader. She was an accomplished knitter who created beautiful sweaters for family members. She was a wonderful cook whose Christmas baking was delicious. Always quick to help others, she had been a life member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a dedicated member of the Garnet Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Encampment Aux., Ladies Patriarch Militants Aux. having held all executive offices in those organizations. She was devoted to her loving family, especially her precious grandchildren whom she took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments. She thoroughly enjoyed their visits. Ivy was a remarkable woman whose love and light was never diminished by the challenges of her health. Beloved wife of Gerald “Gerry“ Wagner for 65 years. Loving mother of Wendy Glenna predeceased, Bonnie (Leonard Courchesne) and Kathy (Phil O'Neill). Cherished grandmother of Trevor (Erin), Tanya (Matthew Rodrigues), Alicia (Dwayne Pilgram) and Ryan (friend Ashley). Sadly missed by her canine buddy Beauty. Dear daughter of Heman and Eva Hodgins predeceased. Dear sister of Steward predeceased (Georgina) Forrest predeceased, Lowella Mae predeceased, Lorna predeceased, Norma Larsson (Frank) both predeceased and Mervina DeGrechie (Victor predeceased). Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation with interment in the Waters Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday under the auspices of the Rebekah Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations to the Maison Vale INCO Hospice or St. Peter's United Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
