HEIT, Katherine (Kay) (nee Kraft) - With great sorrow we announce the sudden death of our dearly loved “Katie“ in her 92nd year at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Jack Heit (November 5, 1999). Loving mother of five daughters: Diana Mulcahey, Janet, Marilyn Kordula (Nick), Kathy (Dennis Kam) and Susan (Mike Vezina). Cherished grandmother of nine: Jim Ali (Darla), Gordon Mulcahey (Tammy), Shelley Laing (David), Gavin Mulcahey (Carmen), Kyle Mulcahey (Julie), Sabrina Koch (Kingsley), Ashley Kordula, Meredith Vezina and Jaclyn Vezina and loving great grandmother and great- great grandmother of 11 beautiful children. She was an amazingly strong woman devoted to her family and kind and thoughtful to her valued friends and acquaintances in the community and her surviving seven siblings. Up until weeks before her death she enjoyed playing bridge with friends, experimenting with new recipes and discussing current events with a keen interest in the world around her. Katie was an exceptional woman who leaves a legacy of love and wisdom to her family and friends. A sincere thank you to the emergency team at the Sudbury Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
