LAFFRENIER, Betty (nee Browne) - In Loving Memory of Betty Laffrenier (nee Browne) 79 years, who passed away Monday evening November 16th, 2009 at the SRH-St. Joseph's Health Centre. Beloved wife of William “Bill“ Laffrenier predeceased 1990. Loving mother of Bill Jr. (wife Tracy), Linda predeceased 1993, Robert (wife Sonja), Richard (wife Jola) both predeceased, Michael (wife Sherry), Debra-Ann predeceased, Brenda (husband Joel Hickey), Cathy (husband Dan Mustaler) and Cari-Anne (husband John Thompson). Exceptional grandmother to Michelle, Andrea, Bill Jr., Ashley, J.J., Sharlene, Darcy, Shawn, Melissa, Christopher, Krysta, Anja-Rysial, Jacynta- Jolyna, Sara, Braxton, Carson, Adam, Mandi, Matthew, Megan, Joseph, Andrew, Patryk, Rily and Keara. Dear great- grandmother to Hilary, Alyssa, Hunter, Gage, Joshua, Rebecca, Ethan, Marcus, Brooklyn, Mariyah and Melodi. Dear daughter of the late John Wesley Browne and Lilian Jean Schimmens both predeceased and sister of the late Rosella, Melvin, Gerald, Alan, Arlene and Shirley. She will be missed by special friends Yolanda, Alice, Miranda, Margaret and Marilyn. Betty was born in Haileybury on March 16th, 1930 and was forever young at heart. She married William “Bill“ Laffrenier on July 26th, 1947 in Matachewan and began a life long love affair with her best friend. She stayed at home to raise her children and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 503 Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. Mom always had a ready smile and lived her life to the fullest. She lived by the credo; “you're only as old as you feel and as young as you want to be“. Mom, you will never be old and you will be in our hearts forever. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Thursday, November 19th, 2009 At 11 am Interment in the family plot at the Maplecrest Cemetery, Dowling Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
