STEVENSON, Phoebe E (nee Thomson) - In Loving Memory of Phoebe E. Stevenson (nee Thomson), 85 years, who passed away Sunday morning, November 15th, 2009 at the Sudbury Finnish Resthome. Beloved wife of Wilbert “Wib“ Stevenson predeceased June 1983. Loving mother of Clayton (wife Joyce) of Barrie, Candace Taillefer and Jennifer (husband Marcel Labranche) both of Sudbury. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jennifer (husband Steven Sloan), Melissa (partner Ismail Ali), Lana (partner Joel Purdon), Claude (wife Leslie), Christine predeceased 2006, Patricia (husband Alain Demore), Danielle, David, Dianna and by her great grandchildren Charlotte and Matthew and Noah. Predeceased by her parents Willard and Emmeline (nee Craig) Thomson and by her stepfather Edward Moore. Dear sister of Frances Hollard (husband Wilf) of Magnetewan, Lavina Whittaker (husband Harold deceased) and Olive-Marie Duggan (husband William deceased) both of Parry Sound, Morley (wife Edythe) and Doreen Stewart (husband Fred deceased) both of Dunchurch, and Martin (wife Hilda) and Fred (wife Olive) all predeceased. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Phoebe was born in Melancthon, Ontario (Dundalk). She married Wib in Dunchurch in 1946 and worked several years as a RNA at Sudbury General Hospital retiring in 1976. A member of St. Stephen on the Hill United Church, she served as a corporal with the Canadian Air Force “W.D.“ during World War Two and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 and the Rebecca Lodge. Memorial Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury, Saturday, November 21st, 2009 at 11:30 am. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76, then at 11 am under the auspices of the Rebekah Lodge. Donations in memory of Phoebe to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
