SWEENEY-GORDON, Sheila Theresa (nee Halverson) - In loving memory of Sheila Sweeney-Gordon (nee Halverson), 68 years, who passed away Friday, November 13th, 2009 at the St. Joseph Health Centre surrounded by all her children and grandchildren who loved her so very dearly. As hard as it was to let her go, we all knew in our hearts that she would not have to endure any more pain. Beloved wife of Lindsay Gordon (predeceased 2005). Mother of Cathy Macdonald (Paddy) of Falconbridge, Mike Sweeney of Copper Cliff, Pat Sweeney of Val Caron, Dan Sweeney (Lucy predeceased), Grace Hepworth (Larry) of Sudbury, Bill Sweeney (Terry) of Wahnapitae, Morley Gordon (Rose) of Garson and Andrew Gordon (Rose) of Hanmer. Loving grandmother to Donald, Krista, Lisa, Patrick, Krysten, Darian, Jennifer, Kyle, Curtis, Ashley, Austin, Brandon, Miranda, Jessica, Darren, Dawn and Shad. Cherished Great Grandmother of Julien, Jaxon and Owen. Sister of Bill (Adeline) of Alberta, Nancy (Jerry predeceased) and Connie (Fern) of Garson, John of Sudbury, Verna (Doug) of Peterborough, Jim, Jerry, George (Susan), Peggy all predeceased. Dear daughter of Andrew and Grace Halverson both predeceased. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren, family meant everything to her. All through her life she was very spiritual, she always kept her faith. She spent many happy times at her camp in Sandfield and at the boat house on Manitoulin Island. She enjoyed cooking and pickling. She had a green thumb, she took pride in her flowers and plants. She enjoyed playing euchre, rummoli, bingo, trips to Science North and the Casino. A special thanks to the staff at Cranberry Place Pioneer Manor for the care and kindness they showed Mom. She considered you as her extended family. Funeral Prayers in the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation at Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and N.E.O.R.C.C. would be appreciated. (Friends may call 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday).
