McALLISTER, Lachlan - It is with sorrowful hearts that the family announces the passing of Lachlan “Blue Eyes“ McAllister on Monday November 9, 2009 at SRH Laurentian Site. Beloved husband of Beverley McAllister. Devoted father of April and Scott (Caroline). Cherished grandpa of Caleb, Alyssa, Ashley and Daisy. Dear brother of Thelma (Robert Miles) and Heather (Andy Lalonde). Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Hiffea McAllister. Lock was admired and loved by many. He had a zest for life and enjoyed laughing with family and friends. Never one to back down from a challenge and always encouraging other, his kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched. Lock fought a courageous battle with lung cancer more concerned with others than with himself. Memorial service will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME Hanmer/Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10 am. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium with entombement of ashes at the Valley East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
