SHANNON, Thomas Joseph - In loving memory of Thomas Joseph Shannon. June 11th, 1930 - November 7th, 2009. With his family by his side at the SRH-Laurentian Site, Saturday, November 7th, 2009. Tom Shannon is finally at peace. He leaves a legacy of love. A well-respected and lifetime resident of Creighton Mine. Tom will be remembered for his outgoing personality, enthusiastic love of the Pittsburgh Pirates and passion for card playing. Special thanks to Dr. Oliphant and 4th Floor Staff (Laurentian Site) for their kind and gentle care. Tom is survived by his wife Toddy (Cormack). He was predeceased by his first wife Anne (Zyma). Lovingly remembered by his children Kathy (Barry Haley), Tom Jr. (Sheila), Maureen Potter, Mary (Mike Hill), Dan (Carole) and Kelly (Chris Holmes). Special stepfather to Sandra (Craig Christenson), Allan Cormack, Robert Cormack (friend Tarin), Mark Cormac (Bev) and Paul Cormack (Kelly). Beloved Grandpa of Meg and Curtis, Haley, Melanie and Laura Shannon, Ryan Potter, Shane and Sammy Hill, Kyle and Olivia Holmes, Joseph, James, Julia and Tasha Cromack. Dear son of Lawlor and Mary (Nicholls) Shannon predeceased. Dear brother of Donald predeceased 1971. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Lively Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 at 9:30am. Interment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
