McDORMAN, Margareta May (nee Biggs) - Born in Virden, Manitoba, graduated Brandon College, worked in Winnipeg, married Robert (Mac) McDorman in 1929. Lived in Sudbury from 1931 to 1966, retired to Toronto. Predeceased by her husband (1978), granddaughter Lisa Marie (2001), son Leslie (2001). Survived by her son Ted (Elsie), daughter-in-law Isabell, grandsons Doug (Katie), Grant (Katherine), and Gordon, granddaughters Heather and Homeira, as well as great grandchildren Brendan, Kevin, Lindy, Emily and Teddy. Margareta was known as a world traveler, enthusiastic teacher, dedicated Red Cross volunteer, a gourmet cook, beautiful needle worker and green thumb gardener. Cremation will be followed by a private family gathering and later a reception for the dedicated Grenadier staff of caregivers. Finally in 2010 there will be a celebration of her life at her favorite Killarney Mountain Lodge on Thanksgiving weekend. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the TURNER & PORTER RONCESVALLES CHAPEL.
