DICAIRE, Alcide - It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Monday, October 26, 2009, in Sudbury, at the age of 76 years. Beloved son of the late Aimé Dicaire and the late Alma Dicaire (née Théoret). Husband of Hélène Laplante of Sudbury. Loving father of Suzanne Paquin (Richard) of Val Caron, Diane Dicaire (Victor Taillefer), Joanne Senchuk (Walter) and Armand Dicaire all of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers Paul (Donalda of Longueuil), Maurice (Antoinette of Lancaster), Edouard (late Victoria) and Cecile Hémond (late Leo). Sadly missed my his grandchildren Stephane Paquin (Monique Sullivan), Patrick Paquin (Brigitte Masse) and Cassandra Senchuk. Mr. Dicaire retired from Inco Ltd. having 38 years of service. Alcide was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, playing cards, camping and fishing. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Boulevard E (at Notre- Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday October 28, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at St. Anne-des-pins Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
