SHELSWELL Joan (Nee McAndrew) - In Loving Memory Of Joan Shelswell (Nee McAndrew), 79 years, who passed away on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at the SRH - Laurentian Site. Beloved wife of the late Sherwood Shelly Shelswell. Loving mother of Penny Shelswell (Terry) of Sudbury, David (Denise) of Timmins, Gerry (Suzanne) of Val Therese, and Peter (predeceased 1984). Cherished grandmother of Darren (Laura), Tammy (Zack), Natalie, Josh, Angela, Ashley (Phil) and Christopher (Holly). Dear daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lowe) McAndrew. Dear sister of Edward Ebby predeceased ( Violet predeceased), Lila Quevillon ( George predeceased), Polly McAndrew predeceased, Sonny McAndrew predeceased, Marjorie Dubeau, Jack ( Diane), Jerry ( Rita), Beatrice Smith ( Bill predeceased ), Maureen Moore ( John), and Donna McLellan (John predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born on April 15th, 1930 in Cobalt, she married Sherwood Shelswell in Sudbury in 1956. She was a nurse at the Sudbury General Hospital for 20 years and then worked as a teacher at Cambrian College for 10 years. She was an avid reader who enjoyed doing crosswords and a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. A very family oriented person who enjoyed spending time at the camp on Elk Lake. Joan took great pride in witnessing the many accomplishments of her family especially the grandchildren. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
