MANITOWABI, Yvonne - Of Wikwemikong passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on October 17, 2009 at the age of 72. Dear daughter of the late Nancy and Joachim Pangowish. Beloved wife of the late Ted (2003) of 48 years. Loving mother of Calvin (wifeGloria) of Lansing, Mich., Yvette (husband David Jensen) of Wikwemikong, Benita of Ottawa, Marlene (husband Gary Fournier) of Spanish, Barbara (husband Eugene Peltier) of Wikwemikong, Patricia (husband Mark Trudeau) of Wekwemikong, and Mavis (friend Shawn) of Wikwemikong. Cherished grandfather of Stevie, Cal Jr, James, Jacqueline, Harvey, Beedahbin, Nauwatin, Jewel, Elliot, Tracy, Mark Jr, Trisha, and Jayden. Special neice to Annie Ennosse. Dear sister in law of Nancy (Philip) Recollet, Rene Manitowabi, Julian Manitowabi, Louie G. (Agnes) Manitowabi, Connie (Malcalm) Pitawanakwat, Tina (Theodore) Mandamin,Caroline (Buddy) Mandamin, DonnieMaiangowi, Raymond Pitawanakwat, Elizabeth Abel, Grace Manitowabi, Margaret Manitowabi, and the late Marina Pitawanakwat, Wilfred Manitowabi, Gertrude Maiangowi, Mary Wemigwans and Francis Shawanda. Dear Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Godmother to Rene Jacko. Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked as a health care aide at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home and a librarian with Wikwemikong Band in the early eighties. Yvonne loved to travel, play bingo, going to casinos, and playing scrable with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors with her late husband and family. She especially enjoyed watching the children and grandchildren participate in various activities. Mostly she enjoyed laughing with all of her family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Holy Cross Mission starting Monday October 19,2009 at 11am. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at 11am. At the Holy Cross Mission with Fr.
