STONE, Isabelle Copland (Nodwell) - In loving memory of Isabelle Copland Stone (Nodwell), Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gordon in 1967 and then her special companion William Taylor. Survived by her loving son Donald, wife Susan of Chelmsford and daughter Heather Mitton, husband Grant of Dawson Creek, B.C. Cherished by her granddaughters Melissa, friend Dwight of Ottawa; Meaghan Delongchamp, husband Ian of Lively; Angela Sipe, husband Rick of Demmitt, AB and great grandchildren Nicholas and Abigail Delongchamp, Sara and Danica Sipe. Dear sister of Peggy Cunningham, husband Bill of Mississauga. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Nodwell of Callander, sister Jean Gagnon and brothers Samuel and Robert. Belle was raised in Callander and married Gordon in Sudbury in 1933. A longtime Copper Cliff resident, she worked at the Copper Refinery during war time and later on for many years at Cochrane Dunlop Hardware in Copper Cliff. Belle was a charter member, past president and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 224 Ladies Auxiliary and a faithful member of St. John The Divine Anglican Church for over 70 years. In later years she lived at Meadowbrook Retirement Home in Lively, where she enjoyed her weekly card games, daily walks and socializing with friends. Special thanks on behalf of the family to the Staff at Meadowbrook, Sudbury Regional Hospital and CCAC. Memorial Service in St John The Divine Anglican Church, Copper Cliff, Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 10 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the church after 9:30 am. Monday).
