CHAULK, Rita Clare (Merchant) (Mitchell) - In loving memory of Rita Clare (Merchant) (Mitchell) Chaulk, 81 years, who passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 at her home, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Peter Mitchell and Lloyd “Chick“ Chaulk both predeceased. Loving mother of Anthony Mitchell (Louise), Debra Clarke (Dave), Sean Mitchell (Sue) and Sandra Goulais. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca, Kyle, Jo-Anne, Michael, Shannon, Brian, Averi, Harison, Austin, Ivan and great grandchildren William and Isaac. Dear daughter of Herbert and Clara Merchant both predeceased. Dear sister of Pat, Mary and Helen, predeceased by Gerald, Kenneth, Frank and Mildred. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Sturgeon Falls, she worked as a medical secretary in Espanola and Sudbury, then became secretary of the Sunshine Wheelchair Bus for 19 years, retiring in 1994. Rita was a member of St. Pius X Church and a Past Secretary of the Daughters of Isabella. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Saturday, October 17th, 2009 at 4 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
