BENNESS, Dr. Barry - April 14, 1951 - October 7, 2009. Died peacefully surrounded by family at Sunnyside Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Loving husband of Joy Greenleese. Adored father of Brianne Benness. Barry will be greatly missed by his sister Anne Benness; nephew Ian Robertson; niece Lindsay Robertson; and mother-in-law Verla Greenleese. He will always be in the hearts of his many cousins and in their cherished memories of summers together. He will be fondly remembered by his good friend Charlie Laforet (Cathy), and his many friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his parents, Barry Benness Sr. and Jean (Plaunt) Benness. Barry's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 pm at the HENRY WALSER FUNERAL HOME, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Saturday, October 17, 2009. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
