GIRARD, Ida (née Dequanne) - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Laurentian Hospital, on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the age of 81 years. Daughter of the late Ernest Dequanne and of the late Pamela Dequanne (née Daoust). Beloved wife of the late Romeo Girard (October 29, 1980). Predeceased by daughters Vivanne and Diane. Beloved mother of Claudette Cotnam (Murray), Richard Girard (Vikki Godfrey), Lorraine Girard (Brian Croydon), Lynn Brosseau (Claude) and Marcel Girard (Tammy Bouffard). Cherished grandmother of Vivianne Cotnam, Stacey Miville (Dan), Charlene Cameron (John), Diane Ryan (Steve), Paul Girard (Joanne), Micheline Cayer (Jean), Angelle Desjardins (Chris), Joel Brosseau (Kim), Julynne Brosseau (Josh), and Christine Brosseau. Great- grandmother of Sarah, Alexandre, Dannika, Mathieu, Tessa, Daniel, Jordyn, Jason, Kara, Meaghan and Jeremy. Predeceased by her brothers, Moise and Stephane, and her sisters Leonide, Cecilice and Florina. Dear sister of Marie Aline Brosseau- Chevrier, Rita Morcotte (Claude), and Yvonne Deroy (Dan). Ida lived her life for her kids and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, Tuesday October 13, 2009 from 2-5pm and 7- 9:30pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 11:00 am in St-Joseph's Church, Chelmsford. Donations to a charity of your own choice would be appreciated by the family.
