EBEL, George - of McKerrow passed away at the Espanola General Hospital October 3, 2009 at the age of 71. Dear son of Isabel Ebel Beatty of Southampton and the late Harold Ebel. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Hembruff) of McKerrow. Loving father of Dwight (wife Norine) of Trenton, Shelley (Mrs. Gary Cooper) of Espanola, Heidi (Mrs. John Lafantaisie) of Lively. Cherished grandfather of Craig, Zachary, Kyla, Lisa, Caleb, Alyssa, Kaylee, Brady and Riley. Dear brother of Lorne (wife Dori) of Orangeville, John (wife Mary) of London, Heather (Mrs. Carl Highgate) of Merlin, Ont. He retired from Inco 18 years ago. He served as Reeve and Councilor and Fire Chief of Baldwin Township through the years. No visitation. A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Espanola on October 7, 2009 at 11am with Rev. Cory Vermeer-Cuthbert officiating. Interment of ashes in the Hilly Grove Cemetery, Manitowaning.
