HUNT, Joan Sarah Catherine (Steed) - In Loving Memory of Joan Sarah Catherine Hunt, 74 years, who passed away Saturday October 3rd 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-St. Joseph's Site. It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of this incredible woman on Saturday October 3, 2009. She was the daughter of Robert & Margaret Steed (predeceased), the cherished wife of William (Bill) and the beloved mother of Laurie-Ann Mandoshkin (Allan), Robert (Mary Ann), Karen Cote, Kevin (Gail) and Susan Tompkins (Brad). She was the treasured sister of Marilyn Sauve (Norm predeceased) and devoted grandma to Sarah, Willie, Melissa, Joshua, Alexia, Cole, Maggie, Brittney and Virginia. She will be sadly missed by many life-long friends. Joan lived her life with faith and courage. Her passion was her family and she took great pride in all of her children and grandchildren. She saw the good in everyone and to her that was all that mattered. She inspired people to be the best they could be in life and always said to “reach for the stars“ and to “follow your dreams.“ She was a gifted individual and seemed to always know when she was needed and at knowing what was needed, whether it was simply and kiss, a hug, or a kind word. This wonderful lady touched and made a difference in everyone's lives through her passion and zest for life. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, the C.W.L, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member the pastoral team. She devoted her life to helping others and wanted to help the world. For all of this and so much more she will be greatly missed by all. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Mass in Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Dr., Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 at 1pm. Prayers at 3 pm Tuesday.
