EADIE, Alvin “Owlie“ - In loving memory of Alvin “Owlie“ Eadie, 74 years, who passed away Thursday, October 1st, 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born on Manitoulin Island, Owlie worked for INCO for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed playing then coached baseball for many years. He was a skilled bowler, an avid reader, and had a passion for music. He will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful dry sense of humour, that he lived life on his own terms and his devotion to his family, especially the girls. Beloved husband of Anne (Sagle) Eadie of Azilda. Loving father of Peggy Atkinson (Glen) and Kerry (Lynn) both of Azilda, Steve (Kathy) and Bruce (Sylvie) both of Mississauga, Calvin of Chelmsford, and Peter (Sally) of Orlando, Florida. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Jenne), Sarah, Brett, Zach, Kate, Amber, Melanie, Chris, Joe, Jess and extra special great-granddaughter Kalyn. Dear son of Albert and Florence Eadie both predeceased. Dear brother of Donald “Harry“ (June predeceased) of Little Current, Shirley Stump (Babe) of Hanover, Joan Stark (Bill) of Guelph, Barbara Jervis (Bob) of Washago, predeceased by Dorothy “Dickie“ Curran (Art and Les) and Viola “Tom“ Boyle (Clayton). Dear brother in law of Jean McCulligh (Ken), Joyce Chilton (Don), Ken (Sheila), Dave (Jeannette), Ed (Shirley), Maxine Benvenuti (Leo), Terry (Ruth), Dale (Nancy), predeceased by Wayne (Eunice of Gore Bay) and Eileen Lavoie (Walter of Alberta). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sunday, October 4th, 2009 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
