BLASEG, Leonard - The family announces with sorrow,his death in Sudbury, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Son of the late Albert and Margaret (née Miko) Blaseg. Beloved husband of Frances Blaseg (née Bertrand) of Sudbury. Loving father of Carmen Gervais (JC), Carole Madore (John) and Norm Blaseg (Colleen). Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law, Shelley. Dear brother of Lillian Plasko (Joe) of Nelson, B.C., Lavina Coombe (late Lloyd) of Burnaby, B.C., Marcella Van Humbeck of Campbell River, B.C and Joyce Hupet (Clarence) of Cudworth, Sk. Predeceased by his brother Albert of Sk. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Dawn, Frankie, Leonard, Kaila, Carley, Kyle, Corissa, Marissa, Jenie, Kaitlyn and his great-grandchild Jordyn. Also survived by many relatives and friends. A retired Inco miner, Leonard will be remembered for having been an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball, golf, hockey, horse racing and playing cards. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame) Sudbury, Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario (Sudbury Chapter) would be appreciated.
