GIRARD, Géraldine (née Bérubé) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 73 years. Daughter of the late Delphis and Marianne (née Flynn) Bérubé. Wife of the late Philippe Girard, predeceased in 1998. Loving mother of Martine Lewis (Bob), Suzanne Martel (Pierre) and Lizette Fortin (Rock) all of Sudbury and Julie Wootton (Larry) of Toronto. Devoted grandmother of Robert, Melissa, Chantal, Alain, Manon, Brandon and Ryan. Adored great-grandmother of Preston and Arabella. Survived by 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Predeceased by her 1 sister and 3 brothers. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. The focus of Géraldine's life was her loving family who will miss her dearly. Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site) Oncology floor for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUENRAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, October 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in St-Dominique Church, Sudbury.
