GIRARD, Michel “Mike“ - In Loving memory of Michel “Mike” Girard, 48 years who passed away at home in Val Therese on Monday, September 28, 2009. Beloved father of Michel, Angie and Patrick. Cherished grandfather of Ethan. Loving son of Elphege Girard (predeceased) and Laura Girard (nee Paquin) of Hanmer. Dear friend of Nancy Joly. Brother of Marguerite, Bob both of Capreol, Joanne of Hanmer, Maggie (Michael) of Chelmsford, Rick of Sudbury and Dave of Kirkland Lake. Predeceased by his brothers Albert, Andrew, Anthony, Mario, sisters Diane and Laura “Pounne”. Mike worked for 29 years for Auburn Industrial. He loved spending time in the bush and hunting. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and doctors who took care of him. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer (at hwy 69N). Funeral service will be held in the chapel On Thursday October 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium with interment of ashes at the Valley East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Toronto Sick Children's Hospital would be appreciated. (friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m).
