McCormick, Lauretta - Passed away at the St. Joseph's Manor in Elliot Lake, Ontario on Tuesday September 29, 2009 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Herbert McCormick of Spanish. Pre-deceased by her parents John and Albertha Solomon. Loving mother of Georgette Blanchette (Albert) of Nova Scotia, Eugenia “Jeannie“ McElhone (late Jim Budge), Clarence McCormick and Shane McCormick (Janet) all of Spanish, Anita Paul (Noah) of Hanmer, Malcolm McCormick (Tammy) of Sault Ste. Marie, Tracy Manuel (Dean) of Marathon and the late Wallace, Darlene and Stanley McCormick(Cheryl Caverly). Dear grandmother and great-grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of George Solomon and the late Mary Cavanagh, Agnes Onesenko, Margaret Leadsom and Eugene Solomon. She will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Visitation will be held from St. Sebastian Parish in Spanish on Thursday October 1, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Deacon Maurice Cyr officiating. Cremation to follow.
